CDS win planning approval for a new cemetery in Hound and a consent for a maintenance depot and glass house facility for Huntingdon TC.
The facility will be operating on residual heat from the crematorium. Huntingdon is now a U.K. first with green energy cremation providing heat for the council’s glass houses which will be growing plants fort he town’s flower beds and floral displays. PV cells on the roof of the depot will provide energy to charge the councils electric maintenance machinery!
This is one of the most foresighted councils in the country pushing the green agenda to the limits. A real pleasure to be working with them on their developments.
