Our Rapid Environmental Assessment (REA) tool is designed to identify areas of improvement across 11 separate areas of activity. This is done through a series of online questions specific to each site, these questions will need to be completed by the owner-operator. Overall, this should provide the bereavement industry with a clearer and more concise benchmarked assessment of the environmental impacts of cemeteries and crematoria across the UK.
A site-specific report will be produced by The CDS Group upon the completion of the online assessment. The report will contain observations and identify specific areas for improvement which will reduce environmental impacts. Additionally, after the report has been issued, a thirty-minute consultation will be scheduled via telephone/online to identify areas of improvement, offering a signpost for potential funding support.
Following both the REA report and consultation, The CDS Group can provide more in depth assessments specifically designed for in depth analysis in respect to Energy, Environment (water/air) and systems audit (DEEA).
