CDS have been undertaking cemetery risk assessment reports since the Environmental Agency regulations first specified their requirements on all existing cemeteries, cemetery extensions and planning applications for new cemeteries. CDS have to date undertaken over 300 T1, T2 and T3 risk assessment across the UK and have a great knowledge of the environmental, geological and hydrogeological factors that can impact any proposed site.
Outside of the world of Cemeteries CDS can also provide efficient environmental monitoring solutions including groundwater monitoring and contamination sampling and environmental investigations to assess the suitability for re-use of parcels of contaminated land, enabling a valuable resource to be repurposed and given a new life in the form of parks and open space, cemeteries or development.
