Recent coverage of London’s burial capacity challenges highlights an issue that we at The CDS Group were pleased to examine through our work with the Greater London Authority on the Audit of London Burial Provision. The audit identified that more than half of London’s boroughs have less than 15 years of new burial space remaining, reinforcing the need for long-term strategic planning.
Burial and cremation infrastructure takes years to plan, deliver and bring into operation. Waiting until capacity becomes critical is simply too late.
